Got this 18k ring today out in the woods at an old home site. A few other personal effects came up as well. Don't know who Bessie was, but the ring is on occasion of her 13th birthday. Mama must have dropped that old sash buckle while doing the laundry as junior played his trombone. Can almost picture Bessie with that hairpin losing the ring while helping Mama put hot crawlers on the table in the yard...

Interesting finds! That tie tac looks like it might have some gold in it. That item just to the left of the tie tac looks like it may be made of silver? Thanks for sharing. Old digger. :icon_thumright:

Thanks for that ID OD!
On closer examination, it has a Pat No on it, along with the legend "SWANKCLIP" and it bears some resemblance to some of the online offerings from this line. It also has "PLATE" on it.

That silver barrel is marked sterling on one end in tiny letters so I think it may have been some kind of jewelry as well.

I'd like to know what that mouthpiece is from, don't know much about horns either.

you have some interesting finds there but i think i would be fondest of the ring great finds dennis
