Hello all, I got out about a 1/2 hr to a nearby park. Was diggin the typical pennies and a couple of dimes.28 cents to be exact,LOL.Decided to hit the volley ball sand pit.About 2-3 mins into it right under the net line I get another pull tab sig.I thought what the hay,Im here so I dug and the second scoop, out pops a 14K wedding band. Then I had to go.

Met with civilman for lunch and hit another park from there where I dug a fair amount of clad.I was digging ALOT of pennies thinking "I dont know bout all this?." Then started banging quarters and dimes.OK Im likin this, its cool.

Todays totals were 8Q,13D(missed 2 in pouch),24P,and a 46 wheat(I been hell on the wheats this week, haha),and one 14K wedding band. The band wieghes 5.7 grams.

Now the funny part that lead up to all of this.Yesterday I pulled into my driveway and saw a pigeon and thought "thats wierd?never saw a pigeon round here before." I got outta my truck and got closer and it was a Robin with a white head.Never seen one of those.I ran inside and grabbed my camera and got two pics. Im not sure how good you can see the pics but it definately had a white head. Has ANYBODY ever seen one of these. Then this mornin before the hunt I stopped for coffee and a $5 scratch off and hit for $20.It all seems very strange but I dont know.

Thanx for lookin,jimmy

That was a fat band...Had a little bit of weight to it from what I recall.Congrat's on the first gold, might as well get it out of the way early.....Talk to later.

Nice find on the wedding band. ;D ;D I don't mind digging clad as long as like you say it's not penny after penny.

Danimal would disagree!

Sounds like a well rounded day.

You need a certain amount of faith to step onto that volleyball sand. It only takes one gold ring to make it all worth while!

The bird is cool too!

NICE RING!!!....Those volley ball pits can surprise you sometimes....I found one the other day that had plenty of pull tabs in it but I had to leave right after I found it. I don't think it has been hit good at all. Hope I can get back there soon. Have a good one!
