First Gold Ever and Second Silver, 2 Minutes and 2 Feet apart!

My weekend Hunt...My first GOLD !!!! I thought it was silver when I dug it. Didn't know it was gold until I pulled it from my pouch to clean it in the light....That was an eye opener!

I found these last night with only a small forehead light. I dug the silver, then when I covered the hole and stood up, I placed my MD down and instantly got another tone...That was the gold...both within 2 minutes, 2 feet away from each other....

Others are: Total for the weekend, Pewter Dragon Pendant, Copper Heart Pendant, North American Fishing Club Zipper Pull

Thanks Dig, Mariposagold . Depending on which friend you want to believe, I can only make out the 1 and the K on the stamp. Maryanne says the other is a 4. Julie says it looks like a 6 or an 8 to her....I think I like Julie more.....

Thinking it was Silver, I was too shocked to dance when I found out it was gold...I said the same thing when I found out it was Gold as I did when I dug it just 2 feet away from the Silver...NFW...LOL

I like Julie's 8 over Maryanne's 4 as well. I haven't seen any 18k White gold. I originally thought Silver when I found my 11 gram 14k White Gold ring. What a pleasant surprise. LOL.

If I may inquire? Where do you hunt @ night? Private property, beaches/ Parks, or out of city limits? Around here beaches / parks are closed @ dark. Just curious!

XTRMDIGGER, This was my first time night hunting. I was in a dirt parking area behind my booth at the Texas Renaissance Festival. I was hunting at night because I was waiting on some friends to come back from a local street festival. I grabbed a small headlamp that morning, put in a new battery and threw it in my truck thinking I would need it while working on the booth. Did not think about night hunting until the opportunity arose....I will tell you this though, I will be looking for other places to night hunt...it was really fun. I am getting a better light to use though...LOL
