Detector(s) used
White's Prizm III Garrett's GTP 1350
I got home from work today and my box from Kellyco was waiting on the porch. I went inside and started unpacking. I put the detector together and checked out the other items. I watched the instructional video while I ate dinner. I then read the manual and headed to the backyard.

I live in a rowhome, built 1910-11, so I have a pretty small backyard. I bought a White's Prizm III back in March and have hunted the yard at least 10 times. I found a total of 4 coins, all new. I decided to hunt in coin mode, fired up the MD and started swinging. Within a couple of minutes I got that nice high bell tone. I pinpointed, cut the plug and checked the hole with my pinpointer, nothing. The 1350 still gave me a good reading. I dug some dirt out of the hole and checked with the pinpointer again. I got a signal at the side of the hole. I probed with my trowel and out popped a coin. It was a 1941 Wheat and was about 5" down. I found a couple of nails and a couple of very small washers. I then found another Wheat, 1945. My last keeper was a Hot Wheel army jeep.

I think I am really going to love this 1350. I need quite a bit of practice but I think the finds will really be worth the money spent.

You can't go wrong with a Garrett they make a good detector. Like i said in another post i started with Garrett a long time ago. Then just had to try Minelab Whites and others they were good detectors but i was not happy with them and went back to Garrett. Your Garrett got you some nice finds congrats and keep on detecting or keep on Garretting................................................

Try hunting in jewelry mode it gets more depth. Also the gtp gets good depth with lower sensitivity witch helps in trashy areas to hit the deep silver. Good luck and happy hunting.

Congratulations Bill on your new detector. That GTP 1350 is one great coin hunter as you quickly found out. Good luck with a hopefully short learning curve, and be prepared for a lot of coins and silver items coming your way.
