My house is about 140 years old. the amount of trash, nails etc. is shocking. My Vaquero seems to be pretty good at discriminating out most of the junk.
This old soup spoon is stamped "Nickle Silver". It was buried about 6" behind the house. The other item is, I believe a giant lead sinker used in commercial fishing, found on the beach.

I sure wonder how many of my grandmas spoons are still buried. I don't think as kids we knew what a shovel was, when it came to tunneling in the dirt for our hot wheels.
