Hey there guys I FINALY recived my ace 250 yesterday and went out hunting for about 30 min. total in the front yard and found some clad .12 cents total and a air national guard recruting medal. It was 2" down and is in pretty good condition. it has a date 1986 on it. any one can tell me what this is? sorry for the bad pics but my cam. is a POS thanks rb

Nice finds and welcome to a great hobby! The medal is probably just what it looks like, may have been given as an award for the most recruits within a certain period. They are typically called Commander's coins in the military, most commanders have these and give them away as an attaboy pat on the back. I received one last year and was also given permission to detect an obstacle course when he took over a certain firing range, could not do it within a two day period I had, darn! HH, Mike
