Hi ya!
I bought a house on 1.41 acres inside the city limits in the town I have lived in since '92 just over a week ago.
Today, I finally got my metal detector out of storage, and played around with it for just a half an hour in my large field. Among the shredded pieces of beer cans and pieces of wire I dug up, I also found these:

1. Pieces of an old hotwheels car.
2. A large Nail
3. A Clad Quarter from 1990
4. A penny that is so corroded that its impossible to make out the date
5. Some aluminum wire
6. What appears to be a piece of metal that was melted

AND...

7. A Class ring dated 1975 from the "Instituto Tecnico Comercial".

The ring was about 4 inches underground, near the LARGE tree in the center of my property, and as the picture shows, colored very dark (almost black). A couple minutes with some silver cleaner and it is shining. The weight, color, and how the tarnish came off leads me to believe it is actually silver.

I searched Google and found Instituto Tecnico Comercial (spanish) converts to Technical Business Institute. Now, I searched and found a school with the same name (spanish) in Monterrey City in Mexico on both a website and facebook.

Beautiful ring recovery! :occasion14:
