This was my first hunt of the year, the snow is finally gone and it even warmed up a bit. I got permission for a field that had a house on it in 1853 and is gone on all the maps after that. The farmer drove to the field just to show me where he had seen some brick and then he stayed long enough to see me get a flat button and the first large cent and then he left. The field had very few targets but what I dug was old, only dug a couple modern bullets. My first LC was an 1848 and the second was a 1835, a couple more buttons and then I got crapy signal but in this field I'm digging everything and out popped what I thought was a LC, it looks like like a LC but after I cleaned it up it looks and feels like pewter? Very nice!

Might the pewter thing be a container of some sort? Could it be hollow?

HH!

Great finds I'd say there's some more goodies there about. Way to go.

That counterfeit LC is the best find of the hunt. Well done!
