...and I scratched it :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: . In my defense, it was deeep (8"), junky signal, and 5" under a toasted '41 wheatie. I almost didn't dig it, thinking I had deep iron. Glad I did, as it's my first ever '18 merc. Now to find a '16d :laughing9: . Back story: So I'm taking the week off work to go detecting and get some stuff done around the house. Headed out yesterday (3/6) to a '20s era park near me that I've never hit before. Looks like the disco tectors beat me to most of the good stuff though >:( .

Totals for Tues. 3/6: '18 merc, 14 wheats (not pictured; dates range from teens to '50s), and $5.05 in clad (not pictured).
