Spent two hours this morning at an 80s era neighborhood park down the street from where my father is doing technician duty at a clients house. This was the best signal of the hunt, 6-7”. Before I didn’t expect to find any silver there so I expected only copper and clad. I never saw it coming, a 1961-D Rosie! Wow :o . First silver dig find and third silver find of 2019 :hello2:. Continued hunting for the next hour and find 9 other clad coins = $1.26 . Afterwards I drove down to the convenience store to get a large drink to celebrate my first silver dig. Thanks for looking and happy hunting! :icon_thumright: 8-)

Congratulations on digging your first silver coin! You should put that in a protector and cherish it. I wish you many more silver coins, good luck and happy hunting!

Congrats on your first silver:icon_thumright: my first silver back 23 years ago was a rosie 1964...

And so it begins....congrats

I can't remember my first, but that was only 12 years ago... hmmm, wait, I believe it was a 1952 Wash. quarter or a RR-flattened Mercury dime.
I don't find silver that often, either....
Don't ya just love the FEEL of silver - its so cool to the touch!
Anyway, I bet you are still buzzing, from the Find.., right...? Good!

Forgot to mention the wheat is 1940 from the change buying the drink.

Now you're ruined! More addictive than crack.

Lol, seriously though....congrats!

My first silver was also a rosie but I'm not positive...I think it was a 1954. It was 35 years ago. I didn't put it in a holder and put all my future funds in the same drawer. I remember where I found it and that once I found my first, they started coming easier.
Congratulations and good luck!

Congrats on digging your first silver, they should come along a little more often now that you broke the ice.

Congrats on your first Silver and in-case you didn't realize it, it's always a nice surprise when you recover it. I can never predict when a coin is Silver, unless it's over 8" down in the dirt. Enjoy the hobby and don't worry, there's no such thing as Silver fever!

Big congrats :icon_thumleft:

I can still remember my first dug silver. June 2002 in Wyoming! Been hooked ever since (And 6 machines later :laughing7:)

Enjoy it as much as you can!!!!!

Congrats. Only a few thing feel better than a "first silver."

From the looks of it you had to work through a little bit of gravel to get there! Nice diggin'
