first dime rolls.

Try higher volume! 4 rolls is a pretty small sample size

Start out small and slowly get more, if I were you working with $25, I would buy nickels, those are always fun and I average a silver every $100 worth versus dimes where I average 1 silver every $500 wrth.

I went thru them quickly, and this morning I had a feeling to go back thru them again, and found a 64!

I second the notion of doing nickels or cents if thats your budget for now- and then add a little bit to your fund each week or every other week

Do penniiiiieeeeesss! I'm not biased at all :P

Agree with ya - if you are super limited on cash, get pennies & sell the copper to build a bank roll a little. Once you get even $50 or so, start buying CWRs of halves: that's where my best finds have come from. You can build up a nice stash of silver doing that. Then sell some of it, and throw some half dollar boxes in the mix. I started my bank roll after $125 turned into $1800 by winning a poker tournament. Over time, with a lot of searching, I got my bankroll up to nearly $10k.

There are those of us they thought crazy years ago for searching dimes...nowadays we are all crazy

I've been getting skunked on dime boxes left and right and just found 1 silver dime in 3 CWR. ya just never know

I got $100 in halves that were customer wrapped this week. Got zip.

Hey smokey, if you search $100 in CWR halves and are skunked you are searching someone else's dumps. Don't worry, it happens.

Think about: who is depositing rolls of halves at the banks these days? They are hardly seen in daily life. The depositor is either bringing in rolls that someone had tucked away, in which case you will find silver (one exception is bicentennials, which some people saved), or the depositor is a CRHer, in which case you will find zip.

Aside from a roll or two of bicentennials, I have only found four true CWRs of halves, an each roll gave up silver. All the others were dumps in MWRs that had one end opened and refilled (I hate those - was offered a box of those today and turned them down).

You will find lots of loose halves and MWRs. You will not find many true CWRs. But when you do find them, chances are you will score.
