I got my E-trac today and just could not wait to give it a try. I ran home from work at lunch time and put it together and got about 15 minutes of hunting in the back yard with it. I went to a section of my back yard that has produced coins from the 1940's before and began to swing. About 5 minutes later I had found a 1953D wheat. I had been over this area with my explorer SE, MXT, uMax Silver, and Quattro and never even got a peep. It was about three inches under a rusting nail. i was impressed. I went back to work and decided to leave work at 5pm so I would have some day light to play with the E-trac some more. I got home, changed and started swinging. I went to an area of my yard that is nail central and started to swing. 20 minutes later I had struck gold!! My first gold ring of 2009. It was about 6-7 inches down. It was a class ring from Georgia Christian School 1965. I cleaned it up and found a first name inside. This will be the first class ring I have found where I have a chance to return it to the owner. I posted it on Class Ring Finder, so we shall see. I also located the school on the web and will be giving them a call as well. I am an E-Trac believer. I cannot wait to hit the beach with it once I have finished Andy's book. Way to go Minelab!!
