Getting back into the hobby after a very long pause. (My only other posts here were back in 2006 after finding the buckle in my avatar.) Went down to the water behind my home for a few hours to practice using the AT Pro in a high-trash, highly mineralized area. After about a half-hour of tinkering with the settings I finally found a combination that was relatively quiet. Spent the next few hours detecting without finding much worth noting, but I did pull this small cast iron rake head out from about 10 inches of shell and sand. Although it's not curved, I'm assuming someone must have used it as a clam rake a very long time ago. Clamming is a popular past-time for people in my little corner of New England, so finding this certainly put a smile on my face.
