Detector(s) used
ACE 250
Hello everyone... i'm new to metal detecting... just got an ace 250 the other day.... ive been trying it out in my yard trying to learn how to use it... so far i've found 2 early 40's pennies.. and a 1954 nickel... all of these were only about 2-3 inches deep. the detector is picking up lots of other coins @ 5-6" deep but we are in the middle of a drought here and the ground is really hard.... i'll try to dig them after we get some rain..

any pointers that will help me would be greatly appreciated..

Good to hear you are out there hunting!
Practice is the best teacher. Learn your
machine. I don't know the ace 250, but I
hear good things about it.

I am still inside my first week with my ace 250. Findin' alot of neat stuff. Dont forget where those targets are after you do get some rain. Good luck !!! VPR

Keep at it and remember where those targets are, you never know what they may really be.

Hi xzempt and Cory8120
Wellcome to Tnet from UK.
Sounds like you'er off to a good start.
When you find a deeper target you could dig a small hole
to start and then fill it with water and let it soak awhile,
repeat as and when til the ground is soft enough to dig.

Dave.

Welcome to the Forum!

As you learn your machine your finds will greatly increase.

One of the great myths of our hobby is the idea that $1000 detectors almost guarantee great finds.

That Ace will really do a great job if you get it to where the loot is. It's mostly all about location.

HH,

Badger

The Ace 250 is the best bang for the buck money can buy. That's the weapon of choice my son has. You will find many more goodies.

Welcome from the UK.

The more time you put in, the more you get out.
