Hello all, a great day with a couple of firsts. A Henry v half penny from early 15th-c and a crotal bell which after a gentle clean is ringing again! I think it’s around 17th-c.
Thanks for looking

Nice finds. I always like to find bells. I can't quite make iut the name on the hammered, is it a Richard?

Thanks! No it’s a Henry V London mint. Quite heavily clipped tho. Cheers

Great finds that hammered silver is beautiful!!! The crotal looks like a real keeper as well! Nice patina on there!

Only around 4” so not to far! I found a cut quarter also which was just under the surface.

Great looking finds Michael, congrats on the hammered silver!
I can only wish the crotals I dig here were as old as the example you found.
Most of the crotal bells I find here in Ontario date from 1820 - 60.
