I had 20 minutes to go out in the yard at the apartment complex where I live and since I’m the maintenance man here, I’m allowed to MD. First 10 minutes I found 3 clad pennies, nothing to brag about and severely corroded. Then this was a solid sounding tone every time I went over it. Popped right out and I picked it up. Sorry for the terrible pictures… 1941 nickel.

The first pic is from 1945 and the red circled area is where I found the coins.
The second pic is what it looked like in 2020.

Congrats!

I went back out there last night and found 1 clad quarter, 2 clad dimes and 3 pennies from the 70’s. And I found these in the same spot as where I last detected. They showed up but I didn’t dig them up because they sounded like a bottle cap. I’ve learned my lesson to dig every hit. You’ll never know if you don’t!

I’m hoping so! We’re going to a city park in a tiny Missouri town next week that has never been MD’ed before that I’m aware. The crazy part is that in the park is an early 1800’s bank that looks just like an old house. We can’t wait to go there. I called the city hall there and they said they didn’t know of anyone searching there. I asked if it was legal and they had to ask the mayor and local police. They called me back and said it was legal for us to go check it out. Next week can’t come fast enough.😀

That’s great news for you. Good luck. It sounds promising!
