First Coin Spill

I just got my DFX about a week ago and after swinging that 12" coil for a few hours I decided save my arms and get a 6X10 DD coil. I picked it up yesterday and hit my front yard this morning. Found my first coin spill near a sidewalk. 2 clad dimes, 3 memorials and 1 nickel in the same hole. That's my first nickel, too. I'm killing pennies and dimes. No quarters yet. I also found a copper bracelet near the front door. I'm still using the pre-set 'coins' program but am learning to read the signals better. Anyway, I'm having a great time.

Congrats on the coin spill, it takes a while to learn a detector real good, it took me till the end of my second year to be real good at what its telling me. HH

Congrats! glad to hear that dfx is treating you good, right from the start. Keep us posted with updates, as i for one will have to be content with stories for now as we have bout 2 foot of snow and 3-4 more inches due in the morn!
