Been detecting for some time now and found myself in a strange city today with nothing to do, so I went to a local city park and started beeping. Met a couple who were interested in what I was doing, and had a noce talk with them. Too much trash here, moved over to some big pine trees, thinking people must lay down here to watch the baseball games. Started beeping and quickly found a quarter Not old but it was a quarter.
So like I have always been taught, check your hole, after you find your item, so I did, and damned if I didn't get another quarter hit, dug it up, Checked the hole again, ANOTHER quarter, checked again, another one, checked again, yet another one WHOH!! That was a run. 1.25 out of one tiny hole! Made my day. They looked to be stacked up on top of each other. That was fun even if they were not old coins.:hello2:

Good job by you! Chances are you will find more clad spills in the future. I have found a few myself. The big score will be a silver spill...wont that be great! That hasn't happened for me yet.....HH!

Always like coin spills older coins only make it better

Groovy stack of quarters - congrats! :hello2: :icon_thumright: :hello2:I hope you had time then to detect a wide area around where you found the stacked quarters -- if not, check that out next time you're in that town. A couple years ago my son had one of his most exciting days when a few scattered quarters led to numerous stacked quarters still in their intact plastic money rolls from bank -- he kept going all afternoon & again the next day, ending up with around $65 in quarters! All the quarters were aged from mid-1960's to mid-1980's and all were in an area about of about 40 square feet in a nondescript weedy dirt lot nowhere near a bank. We, our friends & t-net pals had varied theories of why those quarters ended up there, lol. Have Fun! :icon_thumright: Andi

That's a nice find.
Congrats on your first spill.

Nice spill dig.

I learned this week that I've been passing by a few spills.

I've been getting a lot of signals that are choppy, with a dime or a quarter signal in one direction, and a zinc signal in the other. I usually pass them up, because I've convinced myself that it's a can-slaw signature.

Dug that signal twice this past week, and both times it was a clad spill, that also included a single Zincoln penny.

I dug an entire roll of quarters once at a college lawn in Santa Fe - pretty cool to imagine what it would be like to dig a roll of silver
quarters !

Nice got to love those spills !!!
