Tryin to shake the Super Bowl blues, I got out eventually today for a 2-3 hour hunt. Went alone to a park I've always wanted to try, and from what locals tell me has been hamered by detectorists. After half way through the hunt, I finally struck some gold. Its a 10k class ring, my first class ring in my 3 or so years detecting. Finally! Awhile later I got a large sound in the silver range, and I almost passed it up because it was too strong to be a coin or ring. But after swiping the coil a few more times, I decided to dig. I saw the links of chain coming out and was thinkin no way, its a dog collar or something. Two guys were walking right by me as Im stringing this thing out of the ground, and pointing and looking. I carefully pulled it from the roots and couldnt believe it, not only was it a silver braclet, it was marked Tiffany Co. .925. Swinging along after silver and gold, I was very happy with todays hunt. The ring is 3.8 grams and the braclet is chunky 37.9 grams. Thanks for looking all! HH!
