I got the cibola in the mail last week and there was snow on the ground so I had to wait a few days. I finally got to try it out. I went to spots that I have already hit with my CZ. With it on the iron setting you will not dig small nails and such. Old rusty nails fool my CZ . I found a brass horse buckle, a one mark coin (1971) ,a pewter cuff button ,lots of large iron things .Horse shoes ,an ox shoe,an iron buckle and three spikes. Also lots of 50 cal. rounds. It is a great little turn on and go detector. It takes some getting used to the pin point and it only has one tone but it is a keeper for sure. The thing is also a joy to swing.Lite!! 2.2 pounds. Also seems to have pretty good depth. I was hoping for more coins but I had already hit this area and I was digging so much other stuff I did not cover as much ground as I wanted. I dug lots of tiny pieces of lead that took a while to find. Still need some practice with it but it is a fun little detector. Sorry no pics.Having scanner problems. Hope all is well and HH :)

Hey Bird! :)

You know you got to get that scanner fixed! Sounds like you're doing great with that new md!

Congrats on your finds!

Nana ;)

Glad you like the new detector. Only one tone? How does it distinguish between targets? HH, Mike

Birdman, I thought it had 3 tones and there are some that had a 4th tone. Did we miss something?
Congrats on the new detector BTW. We'll be interested in how well she performs.

It only has one tone.It has a switch so you can switch between three different frequency's in case of interference but you pretty much just dig or discriminate. I got out today for a short period after work and dug one coin a 1930 5 phenning.Common coin but the first old one with this detector. :) I got a good lead from a local that was wondering if I was having any luck.He drew me a map to a WW2 SS training area(at least he said it was).It is not far so maybe I will have some luck.He told me the US army blew a whole stock pile of German weapons at the end of the war and there are still trenchesaround the area.. It sounds promising so I will try it in the next week or so. Wish me luck I will probably need it.HH
