First (Cheapo) ring and new friend

Hey All,

Sorry no camera, no pics. First ring today ;D ;D. Only an adjustable silver kids ring with a green "stone", but it's a first for me and I'll take it. Found a new friend a couple weeks ago. The name is Ace. We went out only a couple of short times although we may have some fun together. Went to the beach today and found a few clad, bobby pins, a fish hook (hate to see some kid get that in his foot), a piece of welding rod, pull tabs and some type of small Steelers pendent. Also walking along the water line I picked up a small round (about quarter size, but thick) what appears to be a stone "button". It has a small hole in the center and the only thing I can figure is that it's maybe some type of Indian clothing ornament, fish net weight, or??

Thoughts so far on the Ace 250-Flattened cans ring as a solid dime down to 12inches, will pull nickels at a depth of five inches (so far), use minimal sensitivity near salt water and keep the coil off the wet sand, works great in fresh water, is relatively light and appears to be easy to operate, and the forearm strap helps to secure the wand. Will post more as we get used to one another! On a related note I couldn't stand the big headphones I had because they made my head even hotter so I bought a set of small panasonic adjustable volume headphones for $12.00. While they don't appear real durable they have been working great, are light and best of all are cooler to wear. Temperature wise that is, although they may even look cooler 8)

Whom ever this ace stranger is, sounds like your hitting it off okay.
Maybe you know this, but to keep from digging cans. In all metal mode, if the signal (where signal starts to where it stops) is wider than your coil. Then it is something bigger than a single coin. Like a piece of iron or can and so on. HH
