My first button and its a crusty one. Found on the site of a confederate camp aboi 4 inches deep. Front of button is missing. Back is to crusted over. Soaked in olive oil for two weeks and gently picked with a toothpick without much success. Inside has very worn down writing. One letter is almost definatly a Z. First letter is either P or F. Thought possibly Frazier but cant find info on any buttons with that name. To the left and right of center at 3 and 9 position is a dot. Bottom word possibly starts with V or Y. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.....HH

Two piece buttons like that are normally from around the mid 1800's. Not sure on the company though, congrats on your first, I know you will find many more!
