Found these three today. My first button finds.
Any help with age is well appreciated. the Naval button has letters on the back, but I can't make out what they are. Even with jewelers loop.

Any thoughts?

Nice dandy button they were around late 18th century to early 19th century. I think that's an old navy button the back mark kind looks like Waterbury button co? I have a similar one in my collection

Thanks guys. Doing some more research shows the Navy button to be a Chief Petty Officers button:thumbsup:. Still don't know the age. I guess I have to clean it up a bit more to see the back markings. It may just say just Waturbury and not scoville. Found some similar, but not 'domed" on the back. Measures 15mm.

Any thoughts on the plain two piece button?

thanks again!!

A wood cleaning of the back 'plain" button shows the word "GILT" , with vine/wreath art.

Does that help date it?
Does this mean that i may find that the button may have a bit of gold or silver under the crud?
