First Barber Dime!

Earlier I found a 1918 merc and was thinking HA I'm finally getting into barber territory! I've never found a barber before so it was on my bucket list. Well I went back and to where I found the merc and this was about a foot away under a small tree! I thought I had checked it all extremely well, just shows theres no such thing as dug out. It has some weird PMD, anyone seen anything like those notches?

Nice. How many years did it take you? Took me 5 to get my first. It was a 1915 half dollar. Then found 3 dimes over last year. Hope they show up more often for ya. Funny thing I found my first seated before I got a barber.

A big congrats on finding your first Barber - a day you will always remember !

I found my first Barber Dime on January 1st - during a very windy snow storm - 11 or 12 years ago.
I'd have to check my records to see exactly what year it was.
I still remember all the details of the hunt and what a thrill it was finding the coin.

It almost looks like it was squeezed in a vice or something. The way its so symmetrical makes me think vise or plyers?
