This is my first arrowhead find, but I have been metal detecting for years. I was walking my dog along a creek trail in a neighboring city when she got a little ahead of me and trying to keep up, I tripped over some exposed roots on the trail. While dusting myself off, I noticed that in the dirt I had kicked up when I fell, was an arrowhead. It was small, about 1 and 1/2 inches long, and a notch on it perfect for my thumb. Kept my eye out the rest of the trail, but didn't find anymore. Cleaned it up when I got home and shadowboxed it. I found it in the summer of 2008. I will go back this summer when there isn't two feet of snow on the ground. Pretty cool find and it was my first, so I was very happy! And the only thing that was injured in the fall was my pride :)

nice one dude, that's a good start, careful it's a super addictive hobby, lol. looks like a resharpened adena variant.

Well it's a good thing those roots got a hold of you or would've walked right on by it!

Starwars,
Be careful because that surface hunting will get in your blood very quickly and before you know it, you'll be leaving that beepin box at home! Nice find. Keep your eyes peeled.
