Found a 1 block long street being repaired yesterday while I was picking up a costumers lawn mower for repairs.
So I headed out there around 12:00 this afternoon and within the first 5 minutes I had a 1910 wheat, a 1918 wheat and about 10 feet away from them
I dug this full liberty 1909 Half Dollar and it was only 1/2 inch under the dirt.
I spent about a hour and half there and managed 5 more wheats and a sterling silver ring too.
The last target of the day was a 1907 Indian Head

Got about a $1 in change and a toy truck.....

That is very nice! Congratulations!

Sometimes you just stumble onto a sweet spot. Congrats on the Half.

When you said about a half under, the dirt in the road or the dirt pile? Or where the road was?

WOW! Very cool.. :)

I hunt parkway areas

You miss understood, did you detect in the area being repaired or in the dirt that was removed

Congrats on the finds , I have found that being opportunistic helps in this hobby :treasurechest:
