Hunted an inactive farmfield near the site of a late 19th century farmhouse on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Found my first SLQ about 20 minutes into my first hunt! The reverse of this coin has always been a favorite of mine. This is either a 1919 or 1929. It was a nice clean low 30s tone on the Equinox, I believe. I then got nothing for about an hour, until I had a faint 19 tone, which was a 1904 IHP. I finished with a slightly bent Rosette and a nice sleigh bell - any guesses on age? This morning I found my first ever sterling spoon. The front has a full engraved last name and first initials, which I hope to research and track down to date the spoon. Also got a small flat button and a buckle . Hope to get back there soon. Thanks for looking. HH!

Way to start the year! Nice finds.

Wow, heck of a way to get things rolling in 2020. I rarely find SLQs. Nice work!!

It's a 1919. Starting in 1925, the date was recessed so it wouldn't wear off as quickly.

Congrats on the big silver:occasion14:

Awesome! Did not know that. I was hoping someone would be able to somehow date this coin. Thanks for the info and for taking the time to share.
