First 2013 goal accomplished - 1974d DDO!

I began putting all 74Ds aside to check for DDOs sometime last year. After about 70 boxes, I was starting to think that maybe the doubling wasn't that obvious under a x10 loupe, and that I could possibly have been missing it - there certainly isn't a shortage of 74Ds in boxes.

This jumped out at me though, no doubt (prominent on the "RUST" in "Trust") - guess it really is just an infrequent, tricky find.

Funny that I started 2013 resolved to begin actually counting the number 74Ds in each box so that I could track the frequency of my (potential future) finds. Second box in... (!)

Congrats! I find about 1 74D DDO out of every 75 that I check. It's a great find. Just sold one one Ebay yesterday for $18.

I've found about 30-40 of them. I don't really date search anymore, so I haven't found one in a while. I only found 1 '72 doubled die - very tough. Look for the '82 no FGs, too.

I've probably found 10 or 15 82-p No FGs. 1 72-d No FG. Would love to see pics of the 72 DDO if you have them.
