My son ( 3rd grade ) likes to exchange his money into cents and strip the copper out of boxes of pennies. When we're done we take all the wheats and other oddities out.
In a two day span from different boxes we got a 1909 VDB and a 1905 indian. We probably went though 20 boxes to find this.
Now I gotta sell the copper on thebay so he can go buy 90% half dollars with his profits.
Some of the other cool stuff we found:
a 1965 batman promotional cent that has the batman emblem embossed by the date
a gold plated 1974 cent
a hong kong 20 cent
a panama cent
