first 08 hunt

well it warmed up here, so I headed out to the beach, dfx in hand.. I again, got into the water knee high.. I suprised the heck outta myself, actually getting a target, actually finding it... heres my method..lol scoop it up in my scooper, stick my foot on the hole, so I know where I was at.. holding the filled scooper, and re scanning the hole.. if I get another signal.. I know I didnt dig it up yet...so I wash n check the scooper just in case theres more then one in it... and repeat all over again.. shocked the heck outta myself..am getting good at pinpointing in the water and getting it out... suprise suprise lol... anyways, I found all regular clad...thats ok...it all adds up..but I did get out of the water a foreign coin which I think is russian but I really have no clue..dated 1973 so any help id'ing this coin would be appreciated..
I did enjoy the heck outta the beach and was going into severe withdrawls... so will be hitting em again or another place tomorrow weather permitting..

Nana, Thank you, your one heck of a detective... lordy..this is one strange coin for me..Athena, Goddess of crafts, wisdom and battle..how odd since I do alot of crafts, jewelry making, weaving, wood work... strange isn't it....and I am waiting for my big loom to arrive....

That's a very cool coin!

I think I've seen it seen before in a Disney movie.

If I remember right the older brother wished his younger brother away with it, it was a magic coin he got from an old collection a man had in a store at the mall.

Highwater, dont laugh, as I am scared to death of the ocean..never could get past my ankles..now am knee high deep... cant go any higher as thats how high my boots are...till summer time that is... so am slowly overcomming my fear of the ocean.

I didn't want to say it 'out loud' about your not wanting to get wet. I just seem to remember it wasn't too long ago you were saying that you were just going to stay on the beach and not get in the water. I am glad you are braving up to it cause that's where you will be able to take it to the next level. Good for you. My old age problem is when there is surf. Sometimes I start to experience vertigo. Never used to bother me, but this year it is starting to. I shouldn't have had that last birthday.. If it gets too bad I might have to go back to hunting lakes. LOL... Highwater

Al..alls I am using on the beach is the preset beach jewelry mode.. and I dig it all up... figured what the heck, its fun, ya never know what ya will find...and I get to stare into the waters..which I love anyways..
