I'm pretty sure thats the last time I'll be in the water this year.. Fricken cold! lakes will be iced over by next week I bet. But anyways, I started the beach area yesterday after work and finished it off, for this year anyways, this afternoon. I know theres more there, just a little too deep for my waders. Anywho, this is what I found yesterday night.
The wheat penny was the highlight of last nights half hour or so search.
Today I spent maybe 2 hours on the edge of the lake, I hit the beach area, point, a couple small boat landings and the water front of the graveyard. Theres a lot of weeds and muck piled up on the edges this time of the year so it made it pretty tough.
But today I finally managed a silver! Its been a couple weeks since I pulled one up I think. See that crusty black little thing towards the bottom of the picture? Oh yeah! 1953D Rosie Baby!
So the silver already made my day. I also pulled up a pretty cool button, I'm not sure if it is old or not, but its one of the better ones I've found. Found that in front of the graveyard, about 5 feet into the water.
