A friend at work found a very nice celt in his Family's
barn a couple years ago. He gave it to me as well as
permission to hunt his fields. That led to finding an
additional celt, a nice blade and a triangle point. They
have been in the process of removing the barn that the
celt was found in--I always reminded him that if he
came across any other "rocks" in the clean-up to let me
know. Today he came to work, took this beauty out of
his pocket and asked if it were any good. OH YES!! was
basically my response. He stated that he thought it wasn't
real--he thought it might be a plastic toy?!?! He said I
could have it and I was very pleased---It came out of a
desk he was emptying, I believe it was the same barn.
I must do something nice for him now after such a fine gift.

That is one very fine looking Adena Point. You have a great friend there unitas. I would definitely do something nice for him. Take him to a ballgame or a concert or something along those lines. Points like that aren't just handed over every day. v

I agree with Steve. It's a beauty, like that material too. I am very fortunate to have points given to me but, no matter how many I am given, every care package delights me. If I'm honest I get sooo excited, I do dance comin out the PO..lol. Ppl think I'm nuts..
I had a guy look at me strangely, frowned at me. I said " its ARROWHEADS" what more's a girl want " ::) :hello2:

Thanks for sharin' :icon_thumleft: Generous friends are precious..

Molly. :)

Thanks everyone
It was truly a generous gift from a great guy. He collects toy tractors and I've given him a few that I've come across. I'll keep my eyes open for a way to pay him back, trust me.

He also has a creek that runs the length of his property--I walk it a few times a year when it's low---Actually found a brown Coca Cola bottle from the early 1900's in it.

Nice guy-for sure.
