Hey all. Been a while since I’ve posted. Got out with Frank on Sunday for an all day hunt in the sub-zero temps. Boots were on the ground @ 7am to a balmy 10 degrees not including the wind chill. This was the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] time I’ve ever had to use hand warmers and boy did they save the hunt! We hit 3 new sites but I was only able to nab this small button as well as the shotgun shell.

We moved on to an old stomping ground that has been pounded by others over the years but I was able to hit pay dirt with this beautiful colonial bridal rosette, which I thought was going to be a head stamp. Was also able to nab another button as well as this small ornamental piece which probably came off some furniture.

Got the 3 musket balls at another site that I hunted earlier this year.

HH!
Roger

Glad you got out. Nice rosette. Congrats on a nice hunt

That colonial bridal rosette is a sweet find and made braving the elements worth it! :icon_thumleft:

Nice relic finds. I like those older all metal shotgun shells.

Congratulations on getting out and I must say, you're a brave soul for hunting under those conditions. Today it will be 60 degrees in the NYC area. I'm going on a hunt.
