Still new at this but it is fun.
2nd small dig at park last week got
2 pull tabs, two metal caps, .50 clad (2 quarters) on path to ball field and around bleachers.
(can not dig on the fields themselves as the city or park rules say no)
Also every time I go there they are mowing them.
a memorial cent was dug near the parking lot.
3rd dig today
Went to first park - found out there were 4 or 5 ball fields if you drive around.
tried detecting around a few more of them.
just found pull tabs and 2 memorial cents someone threw on top of the ground.
two pieces of zippers and a piece of fencing.
was going to try around the lake but it was way too crowded in the afternoon.
Not many finds but luckily nearby there was another park I had not ever been to.
Got out of car and stated detecting in shade of woods.
found piece of jewelry on top of ground near the big boulder.
Unsure if it is even real but it looks like it got broken and left on purpose. Missing a center stone?
(for size reference it is on top of an old penny)
found also next to boulder 1965 dime about 4 inches deep
4 inches over found 2 quarters 4 and 6 inches deep (70 and 71) in same hole.
a few feet down the hill found a 1982 quarter also dug dime signal and got a buried flat soda can.
On bottom of hill found a state quarter on top of ground at edge if parking lot.
on other side of sidewalk dug another state quarter.
dime signal dug turned out to be a copper memorial cent.
Dug for another quarter signal and came up with part to an accu torch.
By this time I was dehydrated,hot and tired - end of trip.
