Finds from my cousin's 100 year old house
I looked forward today to meeting DrDetector and hunting at my cousin's 100+ year old house about an hour away. I had been there once, at night, about twenty years ago, but pictures of it from Google looked promising so we went. It was in the perfect neighborhood (old), with sidewalks and a high school nearby. We got there and discovered...the house sits on a lot about 3.14 times bigger than a postage stamp! Still, it looked like there was some potential, so we searched it. The good doctor will post his find, I'm sure; between us we pulled about three wheaties and maybe $2.00 in clad. Not horrible, but I went down anticipating more search area. I was pleased to find a 35S wheat; I find lots of wheats in the 30's but very few with a mintmark. It was a beautiful day; March is going out like a lamb and we enjoyed it. A helpful neighbor alerted us to several other potential sites, but they didn't pan out. Look for DrDetector's post; he may need some identification help.
