Thank you! I'm probably wrong section, but I have not found the topic on the Forum of the second world war.
Let us show you more finds from Kurland ..

Hello zunder,

I'm a relatively new guy, also, but I think most of the battlefield finds are located over here >>> Military / Battlefield Relics

Do you aver find artifacts from previous wars?

What do you do with the unexploded ordinance?

As clumsy as I can be, I'd really be nervous digging up mortar rounds and hand grenades.

Thanks for showing us. You must have a rusty arsenal at home.

PS; I sent one of our moderators a PM asking him to move the thread to the Battlefields forum.

 Zunder what do you all end up doing with all the munitions that you dig? Glad you are out there getting it out of the ground.

Nice photos.
There where under 100 000 German soldiers ho put down his guns,in place capitulatsion, it`s right ?
:happysmiley:

Were all your finds in Latvia, or other Baltic states too?

Must have been in a pine forest, since I seen a basket of pinecones in one photo!:icon_thumright:

Good luck!

Very nice finds! Have you been able to identify any of the soldiers to notify their families?

Amazing finds there and often in very good condition. You detect a dreamland for every WWII hunter. I like to hear that you handle the remains of the fallen with respect. Too often the bones were thrown away and the tags go on sale... Seen too often here in my area.... :BangHead:
Did i see a Westwall ring in #10? If yes please pm me with some pics! Thanks!

Thats alot of very interesting stuff. Thatnks for sharing those pics with us!!

Wow. Very nice thread and finds. That relic mp-40 is awesome.
