Hello,
The land owner of the site (thats been rumored to be near a trading post on the Oregon Trail) let me hunt the area again after we've had 5" of rain in one or two days.
The point (broken birdie ) I found I'm not kidding was just sitting on this rock!
I've NEVER had anything like that happen!...THEN After finding other broken artifacts...I..find..a..1892 Indian Penny! 
IN THE EDGE OF FARMED FIELD!!
