Finds from 11/19 & 11/20/05

Happy Thanksgiving everyone,

As I sit ?here looking out the window and seeing that my yard is now SNOW covered and my plans for getting out today are dashed, I thought I would play around with the scanner and try to post a few pics of last weekends finds. I found my first 1942 WLH on Sat. What a feeling to turn over your plug and see that silver rim and just knowing that it is thicker than the rim of a quarter makes your heart skip a beat. I also found a no date buffalo & a 1958 dime. Mark found 3 dimes, 1948d,1962 & 1929 merc. We got out on Sun. and I found a gold ring with 12 diamond chips (sorry the pic isn't so good) and Mark found a 1947d quarter.
If anyone knows of a digital camera that takes a good pic and the cost isn't to bad let me know because using a scanner is the pits.

You're right about the feeling when you know you've hit a half. I found 4 this fall...all Walking Liberty halfs, and the 4th one felt as good as the 1st one. Ground's frozen here now....bummer.

I have a Kodak Easy Share DX 4530 5.0 Mega Pixels. I works great. I don't know if you can still get this model. I got it at Wal-Mart .It cost a little under$300. It comes with a docking plate so you can load it directly to your computer . It also has a video mode . I hope this helps.

Thanks for all the responses to my post.

We hunt mostly parks and schools in and around Harrisburg. We would like to find some old homes but we don't know anyone who knows anyone who owns any and we still haven't gotten up the nerve to ask.

I don't think I am the same Kim from the old finds forums. I have visited a few forums since I started MDing 2 years ago so anything is possible. I use a DFX if that helps.

Hey Kim. Great finds. Those Walkers are hard to come by. It looks like it's in great shape too. Any half dollar coin is cool but silver only sweetens the deal. From the looks of your finds I would have to say you have some good spots. Keep hunting them.
