Finds from 1/1/08

[JT in Virginia]

Got up early on the 1st and hit a huge field near my home with my Sov. GT with the 15" WOT.
Found a nice dropped 54 cal Gardner, a flat button and an 1838 Matron Head large cent.

Great finds, probably one of the first large cents found with a metal detector in the U.S. in 08! What are your opinions on the Minelab GT?? I have one I purchased about 4 months ago, I am getting better at using it, but have a long way to go concerning being confident with it. Bryan
