Spent my time this week in several different areas. Went to a couple of different parks, stayed a couple of hours at my button mountain and then an hour or two at a site that I have hunted many times. The last site I only found one keeper. It's what I assume is a cow tag.

I found the little eagle button up at the mountain site. This site is amazing. I have found at least three different era's of buttons there...the Indian war's button, the Civil War buttons and WWI, WWII buttons. I always come away with a little something from there. I'm thinkin this button fits into the WWI or II era's...anyone?

The back of the eagle button is the one on the right and the one on the left I found in a park...

Today I went to the park with Shannon and the kids. Had a great time! The weather was perfect. There were only a few kids there and of course the minute the md is anywhere around the park, they get curious. They came up and ask me what I had found and I told them not much, just a bit of junque. I tell them that I was cleaning the park up a bit. ;) Next thing ya know they all scatter and a minute or two later here they all come back with their little hands full of little pieces of trash. They were helping Nana clean that park up! ;) I ended up with a pocket full 'goodies' and a big smile.

After a bit they returned to playing. Dakota found the creek and thought he needed a tadpole....

Those are some great finds Nana --Congrats

Nice finds and glad you took some junque or as some of us say Junk out of the area.

What was on the tokens? They look kinda interesting.

Way to go there. Looks like everyone had a ball. I like those tokens and nice tag too!

PBK is busy so he sent me to tell you about your button. :D

Your Eagle button is the U.S. Army "Great Seal" general service button. The seal was adopted in 1902... so it could be as old as that. The back mark will give you the possible dates it was made, but I don't have that information yet...

Is that a "R.I." or "R.L." on the back?

Nice pile of goodies Nana! And great pictures :)

Family fun day at the park. Awesome finds, Nana...congrats!

Thanks ya'll! :)

This is the Waterbury button, Grib..

And I am really not positive on the RI or RL, Jim, but I am leaning toward RL...Thanks for helping me with it. :)

RF..I'm thinking those tokens aren't that old..don't know the age but I have seen them posted on here before...the reverse of them says 'No Cash Value'...
