Howdy folks. I’ve been finding a lot of different bullets in the last couple of weeks and am not sure about how old many of them are. Any bullet experts want to take a “shot” at IDing the age of some of these? ???

I’m fairly sure that the two big ones in the top row are “three ringers” so that would make them possibly civil war era. I think the musket ball is mid 1800s or earlier. The last two bullets in the second row have have little crenellations in the grooves so those are probably modern.

The ones I’m most curious about are the first three in the second row, namely these ones:

I think they might be modern but really I have no idea. Any help is very appreciated! Thanks and happy hunting :occasion14:

Actual calibre in thousands of inch would help to ID. In the days of black powder cartridges (mid to late 1800s) large calibre lead bullets like these appear to be were standard. The oxide on them shows they have been in the ground for awhile.
