FIND VIDS

should work now

Well done Casper.

Awesome diversity in finds. Hope 2016 is even better.

Always some cool stuff!! Enjoyed!!

Awesome!! Sure wish I had some calm water around here. It is tough to get in the water when the waves are crashing constantly... Thanks for sharing.

Very cool Casper-2!
Watching that video just tells me that I need to get out more :laughing7:.
I also like how you hunt different types of terrain.
I enjoy that as well.

Kudos to you and here's to 2016 being stellar for all!

started detecting in 1975 age 12
did the park and schools thing
then started doing older areas - cellar holes and farm fields
started floating a land machine and doing freshwater in summers in the early 80s
used to do 90% land and 1o% water
last 15 yrs its been kind of the opposite

How can you tell if something is silver without cleaning it off? I get some things that look similar to some of your silver items coming out of salt water. How would I know they're silver? Nice work by the way. Inspiring!

I just scrape them on the scoop or sifter to expose a small area. You acquire a eye for that stuff once you have dug a lot along with knowing the target history of that beach. My Wheaties come out crusty but by size I can tell there not silver dimes.

if its silver plated - it usually wont crust the same way and the material under the plate usually will turn green
I been doing this so long and have gotten so much of it - you can just tell
copper brass and bronze usually always cake up green
silver will cake black or grey - most times it will just pel or chip off - used to use electrolysis
but don't bother now a days - but I do have a few items that need it that i'll have
to cook eventually
