This feels like a long time coming. Finally Cru'dad spotted a Roman Site that we didn't expect to search as we thought it would be direct drilled with Oil-Seed Rape. Instead they did at least a 9 inch turn & rolled it like a pancake. It just lite the field up like the first year we did it over 10 years ago. We had really done a number on this site, now it looks like we were never there!
Very exciting, so our plan B was shelved & we stuck & made it pay for 6.5 hrs of constant digging. (loads of junk & lead in this field)
80 Roman Bronze Coins (Best 1 day total this year) - 1 of Titus who we don't see that much:

18th C Halfpenny Token
Roman Fibula
Roman Spoon Bit
Roman Bits
Medieval Bits
1931 Sixpence
1/2 a Roman Silver - Hadrian
Imitation of a Tiberius AD36-37 Tribute Penny (Denarius) -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribute_penny - For those that don't know the Bible story. What made us laugh is the nose!
Saxon Sceat circa AD700 - Our first from this field, shows how many years gridding these take to come up! UPDATE: ''This seems to be a derivative or contemporary imitation of Series E, variety G1. It resembles variety G1, but there are differences (notably the extra pellets on the obverse).''
That's more like the days we like.
