After finding $5.62 in clad around the "more-obvious" areas of the 19th-century church I've been hunting during the past week, I was becoming totally frustrated at not finding any of the "good old coins". The only highlights that have allowed me to remain sane and forget about wilver :D have been some of the unexpected types of relics and their location patterns around the church. I think I've finally found some relatively "undisturbed" areas where I'll be concentrating my future searches.

Most of the "farm iron" was found over 8"-deep (detector was screaming in my ear)
and the Cross pen and 1/4" socket bit around 3"-deep.

Crushed copper tube ("Celebrity" w/ crown motif) any idea's to age or use?
Architect's divider and very worn cross (old?) appear to be both made from copper.

Thank's for looking!

I was wondering where I lost my pen..
Keep hitting that area...PERSISTENCE will pay off...with some more nice finds....

Definate signs of an older area. Some cool finds, keep it up!

That's a GREAT cross,WC! Congrats and good luck on your return!

Nana :)

That is one cool cross you found. Looks like you might finally be where you need to be don't stop swinging!

I would guess cover to a lipstick tube for the 'Celebrity' piece.
The 'rectangular chain' looks similar to the chains on an old wood-body manure-spreader used on my sister's farm 30 years ago. Some of that technology didn't change much over a long span of time--didn't need to.

Thank you for all the comments. . . and especially the encouragement!

I know there's more interesting things to be found. . . I just have to listen a bit more carefully for the deeper signals.

Thanks!
