I met up with Twistidd & Kimsdad out at the Camp yesterday and it's probably a good thing
I didn't look at the thermometer on the way out or I may have given this hunt second thoughts.

My only decent recovery yesterday was a 1903 Indian which was near the river. Not far from
where I found the IH, I got another signal and while digging, I unearthed a hibernating toad (as in frog).
When I picked it up, he started to move :o so I quickly put him back in the hole, fluffed up the soil
around him, then put a thick layer of leaves on top of where the hole was. . . I hope he makes it.

Last find was a "3-Merry Widows" tin. . . I guess that part of the camp will never change.

Thanks for looking,

Nice finds, Mark!!

Thanks for calling me over when you were digging that Indian. I got my thrill for the day in watching you uncover your find.

It's about time you got one of those tins. You've certainly found many of their modern day foil counterparts out there! :o ;D

Mark,

That's a great IH! Sorry I wasn't there to see you dig it up. I did dig a few coins while there, a 1970 Jeff, a shiney zincoln, and a dirty penny that I didn't think much of but it ended up being a 1919 wheat. Thanks for the invite, it was a great time even though I was freezing my @$$ off and didn't have a whole lot to show for it, lol. I say we get together this weekend if you're free.

Neil, I am sorry that I sacrificed your map! I did look at it before I turned it into the letter. It was very nice of you to make it for me and I truly appreciate it. I had to go, and my phone battery died, and I couldn't find you, AND I had no paper in my car...I hope you understand. It was really good to see you!

Let's get out again soon!

Joe

I liked Mabel the best! Or was it Agnes???

Nice finds Mark!

Besides building a fire for that toad, I'd say you did all you could for him and he's doing fine.
Now You got me thinking about those 3 widows. ;D

Hey Joe, I saved the map for you  And you're right about it being cold. . . the temps were in the teens when Neil & I headed home.

Thanks Neil, that was the first IH I've found on that side of the Camp. . . I was just as surprised as you were. . . I thought it was going to be just another Wheat before I called you over.
