After the poor result yesterday I decided to go to the reserve field I have been gridding when Cru'Dad is away. (it's the last field in cycling distance) It's overgrown Wheat Stubble but is now somewhat soften. Not very good hunting for Dad & the Cortes but I got a head start & did 5 hours whilst he joined me for 2.5 hours. Foggy day but still mild :)

1 Good early Button :)

Broken Tudor Clothes Fastener

That little coin is too cool!Goldmax power :icon_sunny:

It sure took the edge off yesterday. This field is old stomping grounds but we have left it be for a few years, as we really hammered it in the early days. Glad to see it still has great finds 8)

:hello: :headbang:

Old stomping ground :o just shows you can never say ...nothing left on that field. Great find Cru :icon_thumleft:

Most of the hunting on this land was pre-xp

As our choices have multiplied, we like to rest some land, to allow the deep plouging to help us :icon_thumright:

Yes, just a little over 1g :icon_thumright: Another would be too much to hope for. I would have been happy with a hammered today, so this was a shock :D

Nice bit of Celtic silver :icon_thumleft: Looks like you had an early start!

No, the pictures were just after lunch, it was hard to see more than 80 metres, the sun looked like the moon.

How is the silver to gold ratio for celts in the UK? I hope to see another gold stater on top soon!

They are a too rarer find for us to have any good stats but so far it's about 2/1 (Silver/Gold)

I hope so to, but it's been over 2 years now, so the next one will be a real pleasing sight :o

Interesting finds this time out Cru, you and your Dad did well! :hello2:
I like this relic the best . . . is this piece the broken Tudor clothes fastener? :icon_scratch:

Cheers,
Dave
