Got a new permission...shaping up to be the best one I've had in a while.:icon_thumleft: Pulled a half dozen wheats so far, the silver eludes me to this point...

The site is an acre, and only hunted a fraction of it so far...Going forward, future hunts I will refer to this place as "Gary's House"... the house is old, I mean super old!!!
Built in 1921!:headbang::laughing7: Hey... gimmie a break! its the best I can do down here.:dontknow:

Anyways, I found this awesome French copper buckle...

Also this button... backside says De Moulin Bros and Co... Greenville ILL
It is from a marching band uniform...who knows how old it may be..

I have an open permission, I can return whenever I want... "dig all you want, keep it all" he says.:notworthy: Thankyou Gary! You da man!

I am gonna milk this lawn until its' teats are sore.:laughing7:

BWD NICE FIND . AND THAT IS A NEAT LADIES BUCKLE .

Nice hunt Dave. Love the button. Has to be silver there. Keep us posted.

How old is the oldest wheat penny? Both artifacts are cool, they will display nicely. It sounds like you found a nice place to detect. You make me feel lucky to have properties as old as 1854 to hunt. You know the ole saying "where there's wheat, there's bound to be silver". GL & HH

Looks like you are on a better area Dave...
Coolio.

Neat button. If you go to you tube you can see a Demoulin sing "Bring Him Home", Mickey Demoulin I believe. Quite nice.....Joe McDonough

Thought it was a hair clip of some sort... but the images weren't matching up...has to be a buckle. Surprised to see its so thin and dainty, surprised to find it intact.
