Hi all! I've been back to college for the past month so i haven't been able to really CRH at all since then, but I've been coming here every day and drooling over all of your finds lol. Well we have a short break for a Jewish holiday and the first thing i did when i got home was make rounds at my local banks (6 of them). I was able to scavenge $110 in halves from the first 3 banks i stopped at, 1 Ike at bank 4, and $40 in nickels between banks 5 &6. I wasn't expecting very much because at one of the banks i had asked for halves and one teller says, "Oh i have about $270 in half dollars" and i figured they were someone's dumps. I asked if it was okay if i could see the rolls and $230 were someone's sloppily re-rolled brinks wrappers and the other $40 were brown paper and taped at the ends. I figured they were dumps too but bought them anyways because they were different than the rest. When i got out in the car my hopes sank even lower as i looked at the last few coins in each roll and nothing but clad :/ So i got home and got skunked on the first 7 rolls i went through and when i got to the brown taped rolls i saved for last thinking they were dumps i was pleasantly surprised! The first roll yielded 1 40%, the second roll yielded 2 40%, the third roll yielded 8 40%, and the final roll yielded 15 40% halves! SCORE!! I was also fortunate enough to get a couple of errors mixed in and one in change that I'll post about in another topic to spare you the pics here lol. I LOVE THIS HOBBY!!!
