Here are my finds for the day after a long slump on silver! A trio of silver dimes from at that time 3 different countries! A 1904 Newfoundland silver dime, a 1938 Canadian silver dime and a 1941 Mercury dime! I was becoming discouraged there for awhile after getting off to a slow start this season...Hopefully there will be many more to follow!

Nice! I have found 3 silver rings, but no silver coins yet!

Nice silver rush there!:treasurechest:

3 Different countries now there's only 2. :) Nice going on the silvers all three have great designs and it would be a hard one to decide between the first two which has the nicer one.

Now what's with the 300+ dialects there? :)

What a great assortment of silver, cool!

Hey Newf. your making up for lost time, well done I'd say.
I love that one in the middle, I am going to the rock this summer and expect to come home with a pocket full of em, or at least one anyway.

Hey , great score ! could you please post a pic of the front of the Edward VII ?

Here is the reverse of the 1904 NF 10 cent piece. It is in my album now, so forgive the pic!100_1485.JPG

That's so cool that you found that New Foundland coin! 1904 too, very cool.

Great digs b'ye!

Yes, there are 3...Newfoundland was not a part of Canada until 1915. :)

Hey Ace....You need to recheck your history....Newfoundland entered into Confederation with Canada in 1949...not 1915!! lol!! England wanted to get rid of Newfoundland and Canada feared Newfoundland could become a US state, so basically our so called vote to join Canada was really fixed because most Newfoundlanders didn't really want to join Canada...Many wanted us to remain an independent country...It is controversial to this day....

We had our own coinage until 1947 when our last coins were issued and even had a $2 GOLD COIN!

Ha yup! Not sure what I was thinking about when I wrote that lol. Must have been thinking of something else! I showed my wife and she had a great chuckle. She is from Baie Verte lol
