Finally got a partner! (and silver!!!)

Well, went out today and didn't find much, some change and mostly trash, but I did find a silver ring. Wow, what a beautiful sight. Came home and showed it to my dad who I have been trying to get to go metal detecting forever. And his reaction was "wow, do you want to go metal detecting tomorrow so I can see what this is all about?" Now this is a definite improvement, but I don't want to take him somewhere where there will be nothing worth digging. I was wondering if anyone on here can tell me of an area in Southern Maryland that is open to metal detectors, that will have some good finds. I need your help. Maybe I can get my dad hooked, wish me luck

Schools (if open to the public) are usually very good for coins and jewelry. That's were I'd take to new person for their first time unless there are a lot of other MD'ers in town or you know somewhere better. Hit around swings and benches. If you get lucky, you can figure out where the girls hang out. That's were the really good finds will be.

Take a trip to the bay and hunt the beach.I used to go to Clinton Park when I lived there as a kid,but that was 30 years ago,so I don't know about rules and regs. today. How's that girlfriend of yours? Go skins!
